I am *so* diggin’ my iPod… I just haven’t gotten to use it a lot this week. Bah!

I did get to use it pretty extensively last weekend, when we drove down to Monterey for a day… it was pretty sweet to have all that music right there in the car, using our old cassette adapter for the discman. Such a luxury to have all these artists, genres, moods, mixes and spoken word at my fingertips while on the road.

That way, I can listen to Brak singing the bean song anytime I want. ^_^

I got myself an iSee case earlier this week, and I’m diggin’ it… it’s hard molded plastic (the same plastic used in the G4 tower case) that lets you view the beauty of the iPod in all its glory.

God, I’m such a mac geek… I was worried about covering it’s ultra cool looking body.

(there’s a joke somewhere in there, I know…)

It's in the photograph

To mark blog entry #300, I bring you the Quote of the Moment:

“The moment {a} fact is transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an opinion. There is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.”

No confession thru texting
from the The Philippine Star

( via BoingBoing via Tom Bridge)

Despite advances in modern communications technology, the Catholic faithful still have to confess face-to-face with the vicars of Christ this Lenten season, Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) secretary general Hernando Coronel said yesterday.

Coronel said confessions sent via text messaging or other means of modern communication, like e-mail and fax machines, are “unacceptable.”

I wonder how the faxed confessionals work? I’m surprised that people fax ‘em, seeing that they already use email and SMS. I mean, really… FAX? How early 90′s is THAT?

it's good to be number three

I’ve noticed a lot of my referrers are from Google, and decided to check how my little corner of the web was being found by random internet peoples.

I’m number three in Google for the search term “Courtney”. Spiffareeno!

As for the person searching for “how to throw a great chick party”… sorry, pal, can’t help ya there.

it's got a good beat

…and I can dance to it.

I’ve just spent way too much time at Overclocked Remix listening to remixes of my favorite video/console/computer/arcade games of yesteryear and today.

Some of them are really good, and suprisingly enough, not all of them are techno remixes! Try this StarTropics mix or this pretty ingenious Sims mix using the sim dialogue (“Simlish”) as its base.

I wish they had more (or ANY) Amiga, Commodore 64, Colecovision and Atari 2600 songs… ah well, can’t be choosy! ;) This is certainly fun stuff, and it brings back some good memories of games past.

What were your favorite video games as a kid?
