My friend Mary has written an article on sleep deprivation (quick survey required to read article, no personal info) in the Washington Post, and yours truly was interviewed for it.
I dunno if that is a good or bad thing. ^_^;;
G’head and read it. I’ll wait.
Do you feel like you get enough sleep every night? Regardless of the amount of hours of sleep we get, we can still feel tired and run down because of the busy lives we lead.
A big factor to me, as well, is the amount of exercise (or lack of) I get on a regular basis, as well as the foods I eat. So, it’s not just a matter of time spent in slumber, there are so many factors to consider in getting a good night’s rest… and keeping a consistent schedule.
Now I just need to follow my own advice.
I am also a firm believer in naps, if I can catch ‘em. I think our friends in Mexico are on to something with their afternoon siestas. Offices should have nap times, just like we did in preschool. We could all have little nap mats and listen to new-age music while we drift off to power-nap land.
It’s so crazy, it might just work.
You’re famous! Woohoo!
Lack of sleep sucks. Lately, I’ve been in a cycle where I wake up early – generally between 4 and 5 AM – and then toss and turn and doze until the alarm goes off at 7:30. So annoying…
