MacWorld '05 Roll Call

I just wanted to get a feel for who’s gonna be at MWSF next week. I have an exhibits-only pass, but I always use this as an excuse to get together with fellow mac fans.

I am completely and totally out of the rumor mill loop, so I better get with it.

I will probably be there on the 11th or 12th, but I can make it out there during the remainder of the week as well.

So who’s in?

update 010505 21:40: Jason Shellen is hosting a Blogger Lunch on Tuesday the 11th.

update 011105 2330 pst: The 43 Folders meetup will be at House of Shields on New Montgomery tonight from around 5 to 7 pm.

Netter’s Dinner 2005 Thurs. Jan. 13, 7-10pm (requires pre-reg)

update 011205, 1110 pst: Here is a complete MWSF Event/Party List on Ilene’s Machine, including the following open-to-everyone parties:

Also, my MWSF photos are up on Flickr. Will update as time goes on… if I attend more events ;)

Happy New Year!

I know I’m a bit late with this post, but of course, the craziness of this time of year has taken its toll. I’m a bit relieved that it is over, but a bit wistful as well.

So no year-end is never complete with out some List-Mania. I’m gonna type this out as it comes to me, and probably edit it later…

In the Year Two Thousand… Four

…some of my top movies:

  • Garden State

  • Napoleon Dynamite
  • Shaun of the Dead
  • Sideways
  • Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  • The Incredibles
  • Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Shrek 2

note: In writing this, I realize that I didn’t get to see as many movies as I wanted to this past year. That’s prolly why you’re wondering why I don’t have some particular movies listed. Wah.

…my top albums:

  • Transatlanticism, Death Cab for Cutie

  • Summer in Abbadon, Pinback
  • Hopes and Fears, Keane
  • The Spine, They Might Be Giants (natch)
  • Franz Ferdinand, Franz Ferdinand
  • Future Soundtrack for America, Various Artists
  • Garden State Soundtrack

On that subject, I will add that I am attempting to participate in Rich‘s 2004 Mix CD challenge, which includes:

  • Best New Music of 2004 (IMHO, of course)

  • New to Me This Year

and I may take from Elke‘s book:

I’ll be posting those playlists later, for reference.

I suppose now that I’ve done the obligatory list entry, I hafta do the resolution post?

Heh. Maybe tomorrow.

Where am I?
