Beer at lunch is one of those rare pleasures that I save for particularly good, or bad, days. But it’s always a treat. As if to say “f-you!” to, you know, working.

It’s pumpkin beer season. Mmm. I should try to make a fruity beer one of these days. (Though, I have roughly 10 gallons home brew sitting in my basement aging right now.)

I’m telling you, we need to go to Thee Parkside again and get some of that El Toro. Best beer evah. That and the Thirsty Bear Golden Vanilla.

The problem with beer, for me anyway, is that I never know what to order. I see all the beers on tap, and I just close my eyes and pick whatever. Sometimes I end up with something I can drink, like a PBR, which is like sparkling ice water. Sometimes I end up like Stella, which is way too much for me. It’s just luck of the draw I guess.

It’s also somewhat embarassing picking apparently “lightweight piss” beers like Bud and Miller, without knowing their reputation.
