Are there too many pictures of me on the internets?

This is the 1,000th photo of me (well, with my tag at least) on Flickr.
Thank goodness it’s nothing incriminating.
Thanks, Neek!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it. This evening, I’m off to my Auntie’s house, where we will enjoy way too much food, the company of the most awesome relatives in the world, and a goofy white elephant gift exchange.
Tomorrow will be spent with the immediate family in the morning, and the latter part of the day with some of my most favorite people. I couldn’t wish for a better gift.
Hope your holidays are treating you all well, and if I don’t talk to you before then, happy happy new year, too!

Tomorrow is the second annual fundraiser for the Joe Ferguson Brain Cancer Foundation. This is a cause that is near and dear to me.
You can read some Joe-related entries here:
I know I sent out a mass email to most of my contacts over the past week, but it never hurts to ask again… I’m asking for monetary donations on behalf of the foundation. Any amount is appreciated… even the equivalent price of a latte from a couple dozen people can make a difference.
100% of net proceeds go directly to UCSF for brain cancer research, which is totally freakin’ awesome.
Big big thanks to Matty and Chris Messina for their recent donations!

It’s not quite March 11 in Hawaii yet as I type this, but it is close enough.
March 11 is the six month anniversary (gosh, I remember it like it was yesterday) of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Today, a new memorial (although temporary) will be unveiled at Ground Zero… The Towers of Light. These are two columns of light reaching a mile high into the sky. I think it’s a great memorial. The real, permanent memorial is soon to come.
Take a moment today to remember those who have perished, their loved ones, and those who have shown us their great courage and bravery through this whole ordeal.
